Back in March, I wrote a post about my wavering decision to give the mule a second chance. Well, after much contemplation, and much perusing, I finally saw the pair I my heart couldn't stop fluttering over. I first saw them while watching a Trend Takeout video on Refinery29. I love Annie Georgia Greenberg's style, and how quirky she presents herself, but I digress. It was on "3 Fresh Ways to Wear Floral" and one of the outfits she chose was a high neck blue floral dress paired with black mule flats and a black floppy hat. I thought the look was very fresh, something I would definitely imitate, but the shoes, especially, were ingrained in my mind. They were the perfect mix of feminine and masculine, something that I always look for in my clothing choices, and I couldn't stop thinking about them. "Those were the mules for me," I thought to myself as I searched the internet for them. So, after days of talking myself into it, I finally purchased them and here they are.

In the video, Annie's were a black pair, but since I have a bajillion black shoes, and yes, one can have too many pairs of black shoes, I picked up the blue ones. Not only can I wear them with skinny jeans, as shown here, but I can wear them with a dress (like Annie did), bermuda shorts for a tomboy look, or dress it up in a fit and flare dress. And, just when I thought that I might have a hard time keeping my feet in them, they fit the form of my feet like a gosh darn glove! No clawing my toes to keep from sliding in and out, I can walk freely from the office to lunch in a breeze.
Come, join me in the mule revolution!
